There must be a few keyboards out there with this incompatibility. Weird. Also, if you haven't snipped the pins to get the PIC off (and you have the same R1 and R2 next to the PS2 socket), resolder it back on and swap R1 and put it in the R2 place... then R2 in R1 place. Edu said that's a fix. ONLY if Kipper confirms it's the same as his riser though. That's the exact one that's on the way to me via slow boat/turtle...
If I had any sense I would of ordered a few... with a matching number of 44pin leads... I'm trying to remember why the pin 44 lead is cut on the one I borrowed from my 1200T... Quote:

I wanted to add the info to the wiki, but didn't know how to format it, a thorough description would not fit in the list. |

there is no other cd32 riser using the same code as my rev5. it is unpublished code that Paul Willingham generously let me use and for some reason caused issues on the riser.
The new V6.0 riser uses modified code by solo176 to work on the pic16f628a from the original code "MMKeyboard". created by Guido Mersmann link here http://www.geit.de/eng_mmkeyboard.html the code and gerbers are in an earlier post in this thread Last edited by kipper2k; 09 October 2017 at 21:48. |

I have a Keith Dumolin special signed on it's way from you Kipper... will this have issues too?
I was just wondering @plasmab if my TF328 died because of this? |

Sorry, resized...
Dual ROMs in my CD32. The riser Keith is sending me with your version of the TF328 and the CF flipped backwards (keyboard issues?). |

No one else has reported issues to do with the roms, if the board initially did work and now its dead, it is possible it bottomed out on the heat/emi shield, the rails could still be good but something could have blown internally at the weakest point (normally the IC's
i did accidentally put on a cf adapter on backwards in my cd32, didnt do anything... however, if you remove the pic and put it back in backwards you will have a very very hot chip |

I had insulated my heatshield before the TF328 went in bud.
I meant my CD32 has dual ROMs in 32bit. They don't come with dual ROMs like an A1200. I had them burnt for me as a pair and was told what bits to buy for the board (SMT resistors, caps and a few other bits I think) to get the second ROM going... this isn't standard is what I'm saying. |

They are 5v 16mb so should be good, i havent tried them myself and would need someone with same thing to verify. If they initially worked and still work in an unmodified cd32 then i am assuming it is ok, if you still have original roms, put it/them back in |

It did work yes, for a good few hours with no probs at all.
Only issue I did get was an IDE delay on start too... is that because it's calling ROM faster than a standard unit? I had to reset the CD32 just after the logo sound finished playing for it to find the CF and boot. I'm not too fussed about that though. I'd like one that works with a keyboard hahah We'll get there, it sounds like you guys have found a nice combination of the ISSI RAM being solid now on V2 firmware and with your riser added? |

I will be able to figure it out pretty quickly. DiagROM is all setup for this sort of thing.
