WHDLoad Dungeon Master 2 ECS?

I know that Dungeon Master 2 doesn't need aga, so why does the WHDLoad version?

I've downloaded a preinstalled whdload version (runs fine on my 1200's), and also tried to install the game myself, but it always reads aga required when I go to start the game.

Is there a version of the game that works with whdload on non aga machines?

I'm trying to run it on a Amiga 3000 with 030 @ 25 MHz, 3.1 roms , 2 meg chip, 16 meg fast.

The game requirements state A1200 with 2mb minimum! Check the HOL entry http://hol.abime.net/444

This game requires a 68020 processor as well as 2 MB of RAM. This is why the game was classified as an AGA version, since the A1200 met those specs.
No, any Amiga with 2 MB chipram+68020 CPU should work.

@phantomz: Have you tried the original Amiga DOS installer? Works fine with an emulated Amiga 3000 in FS-UAE. You find a preinstalled Amiga DOS version on the EAB FTP -> Commodore_Amiga/Game/CleanHDInstalls/

Maybe Psygore read the game manual which wrongly claims you need an A1200 for this game.

I will probably end up using the Amiga DOS installer, or the preinstalled version off the EAB FTP like you suggest.

I wanted to use the WHDLoad version because of any problems that it might fix and also protection removal if any?

Maybe the WHDLoad installer might be fixed for non aga in the future.

From what I can gather from the slave READMe this slave uses KickEMU and has been written to use kick40068.A1200

I imagine that by using an A1200 version of kickstart with KickEMU it makes the slave only compatible with AGA Amiga's?

Maybe Psygore could enhance it to use an ECS capable version of Kickstart?
