Some gradients looked nice but stuff like Jim Power was fecking hideous!

The programmers were so preoccupied with whether or not they COULD do copper gradients, they didn't stop to think if they SHOULD!

I would say half the gradients listed so far are utter shite. Any of them that have huge bands that are clearly visible should be disqualified without a moments thought.

I actually thought this was a joke thread when I clicked on the first link.

As I understand it Amiga games were designed to be viewed on TV screens, with the artists relying on the fuzzy CRT picture to blur any dithering or bars into a smooth gradient. Obviously this trick doesn't work anymore with WinUAE on an LCD screen.

To contribute: B.C. Kid, the added colour and music make it better than the original PC Engine version IMO, but I'm sure others will disagree.
