is this hd worth getting?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Amiga-1200...item4ac0d47dd8
I'm a newbie to all this but this looks like an easy way to get up and running with everything for fairly little expense. Does it look like a good deal? Thanks |

First of all, it's illegal. Those games are copyrighted. Second, as far as I know, many AGA games can't work with WHDload on an unexpanded A1200, as they need some more RAM than 2Mb.

if it has the nag screen its deffinitly unregistered, anyway its up to you if its a reasonable price for you. but bear in mind the games do require more than the stock 2mb chipram to run and extra 4 mb's will run most and 8 mb's will run 99% of them. |

Several of his auctions have been reported/removed already. There's indeed a WHDLoad key on it

Like roy said there are people here (fitzsteve for example) that will happily help you with setting up a ready-to-go CF card for little money Just ask here or create a new thread for it. Good luck

Oh while we're at it, can anybody ban that Mounty guy in here, who was promoting these drives? He's been writing me private messages and shit... real annoying.

I'm quite sure most of those games are still illegal to distribute freely. Claiming it's 'abandonware' doesn't make it legal. However, you probably won't find many of the copyright holders actually protecting their rights for these old games, so the risk is minimal.

It's one thing to download them for free and another to sell them in my book. Let's just say that the whole 'offer' is somewhat fishy
