It's basically just a hotlist and works like this:
Choose the slot that you want to add a disk image to by double-clicking it or by clicking the "Insert Disk Image" button, find the disk image that you want to add to the list and click "Open". Now you should have the name of the disk image in the list. When you want to insert that disk into a particular drive just click in the column labelled "Drive" to the right of the image name and a disk drive device name will appear (i.e. DF0: ), if you click in the drive column again it will change to DF1: (assuming that DF1: is enabled under "Disk Drives"), the drive name in the right hand column indicates which drive the image is now inserted into. A more or less up to date version of the WinUAE documentation is available at http://winuaehelp.back2roots.org/ which covers all the features in WinUAE and is generally easier to read than the docs that come with the program.
