Script to change resolution on game start?

Hi all, I like running my WB in 1280x1024 this works very well for normal WB use.
However running RTG games results in an out of GFX memory crash. Is there a script that I can run frm an Icon that will change the WB resolution to 640x480 at game start and restore it to 1280x1024 on game exit?

I currently switch with prefs which is a bit labourious.

if i'm not mistaken you can call all pref programs from the shell
Try saving your config as a file and
Code:
screenmode use filename.pref
