Unhappy ADF2Disk help.

I have got ADF2Disk on my amiga and transfered some ADF files across. Can somebody give me an idiot proof way of using this program to convert the ADF back into a real amiga floppy?
Please tell me which folder I should put the ADF2Disk program into on the amiga and which folder to put the ADF file into and then how to activate the ADF program with the command line switches etc.
This will be much appreciated as I have been trying for weeks to get it to work!

Place ADF2DISK in the C directory. Then open up the CLI and type the following:

ADF2DISK filename.adf [return]

First make sure that you have a blank DS/DD disk in DF0:. That's all there is to it.

Sincerely,

Well I have had an Amiga 1200 for only about 20hours now, but I have already figured out that ADF2Disk wont work for me. Its usage is simple though: ADF2Disk file_name.ADF
Thats all you need I think, it will write the image to the floppy. According to my experience the floppy is then unreadable, no idea why. I used another too to do that called ADF-Blitzer. It has a GUI so its easier to use and it works for me. At least the floppy is readable then and contains what it should.

Hi,
Got an A1200 'recently' and also had trouble with adf2disk.
It's pretty easy to workout the arguments for transfering ADF
files to floppy (its in the read me), copy adf2disk to the dir
that contains the files you wish to transfer to floppy 'cos otherwise
you have to type in more info: ie specifying directories/drives etc.
double click the icon and you're away (adf2disk file.adf)
NO SPACES IN FILENAME!!
To be honest it's a bit hit and miss but if I keep trying the demos
eventually transfer over.
(boot block problems?? or intros?? or even a virus?? )

We had a similar problem

All the games we were copying to PC disks then using AD2DISK from our powerXL drive weren't working. Then we tried copying the ADF file to the 1200's HD and then used ADF2DISK.

boom. everything works now.

hi, you better should use the tool diskwrite, you copy it in the system folder C:
and then you can access it from the cli by typing diskwrite name.adf Dfx: where x is 0, 1, 2 or 3

Copy adf2disk to the c folder. Then open up the shell and cd to the drive and folder that the adf file is on. Then type: adf2disk filename.adf. Make sure there is a disk in df0: That is all there is to it. Enjoy
