I'd suspect your 68k socket may be old and failing.
Assuming this is an A500? What 030 accelerator did you buy? Some "makers" use really large square pins that essentially destroy the aging socket by bending the contacts too much, meaning replacing your original 68000 will never work without a replacement socket. Check your 68k for socket damage and try some contact cleaner. Put your original 68000 back in and push down firmly on it while powering on and see if that makes a difference. how difficult is it to pull the original 68k out? there should be a fair amount of resistance which just confirms that the legs are making good contact.
if all feels solid, you might want to get the board out of the case and verify underneath that the solder points arent cracked or failing. I cant see any corrosion but are you sure the Varta battery didn't damage it? |
