Evil grin

Back in the day, i had only 4 games on my msx, my only computer.
And i was lucky that one of these games which were (Penguin adventure, King valley, Nemesis II) to play the BEST msx game ever which is : KNIGHTMARE , a must finish game for action fans.

most of these games are from Konami, without it, the MSX would be a big flop.

I know this isnt the point of the tread -I tried Space Manbow and it was incredibly slow on my A1200 - the game has some nice effects but I think I tried Metal Gear before and that was fine - Good machine the MSX

True, it's better to use a PC emulator like BlueMSX. Well, MSX=Konami, also true.

Some other game companies such as Compile (Aleste, Aleste 2, Golvellius... and the famous disk mag "Disc Stations"), Falcom (Ys 1, Ys 2, Ys 3, Dragon Slayer 6...), Micro Cabin (Xak 1, Xak 2, Xak 3...), T&E Soft (Laydock, Laydock 2, Hydlide 1,2,3...) etc. helped for the success of this platform too, in its homeland, and in some other countries as well.

If I had to choose MSX games to be adapted it would be :
- Knightmare (Konami, MSX1)
- Maze of Galious - Knightmare 2 - (Konami, MSX1) (the game that made be buy an MSX in 1989)
- Penguin Adventure (Konami, MSX1)
- Road Fighter (Konami, MSX1)
- Salamander (Konami, MSX1)
- Metal Gear 2 (Konami, MSX2)

- Snatcher (Konami, MSX2)
intro : [ Show youtube player ]
a funny moment in the game (be careful, mature audience only ) :
[ Show youtube player ]

- Aleste 2 (Compile, MSX2)
intro : [ Show youtube player ]
game : [ Show youtube player ]

- Ys1 & Ys2 (Falcom, MSX2)
intro : [ Show youtube player ]

- Psycho World (Hertz, MSX2)
intro : [ Show youtube player ]
game : [ Show youtube player ]

- and the irresistible Fray in magical adventures (Micro Cabin, MSX2)
intro : [ Show youtube player ]
game : [ Show youtube player ]

It would be a good start.

Also Maze of Galious: [ Show youtube player ]
There's a rather faithful open source PC remake of that MSX game which could be ported to Amiga if you feel like doing so.

Not mentioned there's also Nemesis III

Well, at least we might have had some good version of Vampire Killer/Castlevania and Contra, instead of the crappy Amiga ports we have.

Ha ?
AmiMSX is a very efficient MSX emulator, on my Blizzard IV 68030, it was more than 300% faster than an original MSX at least, if I remember correctly. Maybe time to upgrade your Amiga.
