Request: MOD Player That Fully Works In Win 10

Posting this here as I can't see anywhere specific for asking for actual players... Basically every now and then I come back to wanting to hear Amiga tunes, but time and operating system changes means my old playlists have broken in one way or another.

Currently the best solution I've found is BZRPlayer; however it fails to end various tracks (Speedball, IK+ etc), it only plays the player death jingle at the start of some of the Shadow Of The Beast tracks (castle, plains, underground, water) and won't play Lemmings 2 - The Tribes at all.

I've tried both foobar2000 and xmplay, and both of these have more issues, even with the plugins/components I've found so far.

Does anyone know how to fix the above, or of a better universal player? Thanks!

the old deliplayer or uade cygwin build - commandline only.
not tested with win10, i have older win version.

#1) deliplayer 2.5b in the zone.

I don't use Windows 10 but one way I employ in Windows, Linux and BeOS is to setup a Amiga Workbench environment in the background using WinUAE or E-UAE. Just run it in the background and utilise EaglePlayer or DeliTracker to play the mods. Works a treat.

VLC is about as poor as other PC players.

The fact is that no player exists for PC that will play everything Amiga related. DeliPlayer could but no longer works.

So the only reliable solution is to do what ptyerman suggested : setup an uae and use DT/EP.

working on any device/computer/os having a modern web browser.
Drag & drop your mod on the browser window to load it !

Before the nice GUI perhaps you can try implementing all ptk effects properly, f.e. EFx isn't played. Next you can add support for other formats, like MED (for "Lemmings 2 - the tribes" the OP mentioned it's mandatory).

Just tried it, still fails. On some MEDs it's a real horror.

I sill use deliplayer 2.5b on Win 10

Although the drag and drop feature was borked from Win7 onwards and the default volume level being set to 0% and not 100%, which is another oddity introduced since Win 7. However, apart from those it still works fine.

Just remember to up the volume or you'll think it's still borked

Something strange going on. Most med's are playing fine, but distortion started suddenly when playing med.medieval. A restart of XMPlay causes the distortion to disappear...

Perhaps i'll write some player some time. So far i've always been deceived in one way or another, but if something passes my tests then it ought to be fine nearly everywhere...

Yeah, xmplay is ok for playing most basic mods, it sux at anything else though!
It's a real shame Deliplayer was left to rot, up to and including Windows XP it was the best thing out there.
Unless anything worthy comes along that does the job as well as Deliplayer I'll just continue to run a emulated Workbench in the background.
As long as you have a good enough system you don't even notice it's running. Except for the background jingles!

Not all are available for download unfortunately (or the version on exotica is broken). I can give you more if you have access to the zone, but you can already start there :
http://aminet.net/package/mods/xceed/Sensuality
https://www.exotica.org.uk/wiki/Flashback (mod options1, fails at 0:47)
Else just about any MED will do.

There are also occasionnal buffer overruns making small "holes" in the music.

The main problem when reporting mods that don't play correctly is that so many players fail and nothing happens when the authors have no good reference to compare with...
You can compare with DT2.
