Chaos Strikes back
Knightmare
Gods
Willy Beamish

I'm sure theres more?...

Black Crypt was the last game I finished on my A500 with maps & walkthrough. After finishing that I doubt anyone could finish black Crypt without walkthrough or maps.it was very challenging with assistance.

Sorry for digging out this oooold thread, but I overlooked it back then.

On my list there is:
Sword of Sodan (always failed at that wizard at the end...I must beat him one day!)
Push Over (yeah, stuck at level 98 for me, too)
Chase HQ II (never could finish that last level before the bomb explodes)
Shadow of the Beast 1 (made to the graveyard)
Rise of the Robots (have to beat it on hard level to get to the end fight, but always failed at the second to last robot)
Lost Vikings (somehow I could not beat the last level, did not find a key or something ?!?)
BC Kid (made it to last level)
Bignose the Caveman (again, made it to the last level but never finished it)
Puggsy (finished it, but did only 49 levels out of 50, and could not find the entrance to this one level... It says you see a special ending if you complete all 50, so I would really like to try again one day)
Nicky Boum II (could not beat that witch at the end )
Agony
Terminator II (only played it one time and made it to the end fight on the fist go, where you have to shoot holes in the truck, but didn't finish the game. I should definitely try again!)
Mouse Trap (I think I made it to level 38 out of 40 or something ? )
Targhan (made it to the end of game fight, but didn't have enough power left. You can save in that game, so I must try to play better in the earlier stages to have more lives/power left at the end)
Elvira Arcade (killed everything in the fire level and picked up everything, but could not finish the level ?!?)
Wonderdog: (made it to the end of game fight, but never killed him )
Motörhead: (always died in the last level...must be possible to finish this!)

Lotus 2 is the main one, as I got to the last level. Depending on how you define 'completed' Championship Manager 94 comes to mind - I won the league many times, even took a division three team to the title within five or six seasons, but never won the European Cup (as was). On a happier note I finally beat Bob's Bad Day recently after over 20 years.

Rainbow Islands
Wizball
Lethal Weapon
Hudson Hawk

Gone very far on these games but I never recall finishing them ever.

Ohhh, I love the concept.

The ones I ought to buy, then finish:
  • Battle Squadron, cracked version had an empty subterranean level, easy to beat, but man is it expensive,
  • BlackCrypt, love it, not sure why I never finished it then, quite expensive too these days,
  • DM II, loved it on the 1200 but sloooow, hard to find these days alas
  • Eye of the Beholder II, never played yet,
  • Moonstone! When I get rich or if I ever lose control of my finances.
Those I have and want to beat:
  • Super Hang On, beat the cracked version in the old days, have yet to re-master it, far from Arcade perfect alas,
  • Chaos Strikes Back, never played then, bought it a few months ago, hard but nice, feels a bit slow though, maybe I need more memory
  • Eye of the Beholder, good game but ergonomy so worse than DM...
  • Scramble Spirits, ECS unfriendly, thank God Galahad the great made a patch,
  • P 47, US Gold alas but I want to see it through,
  • Super Monaco GP, not played yet
  • Double Dragon II, yet unpacked,
  • Final Fight, needs to be mold treated first,
  • Ninja Warriors, same,
  • Bonanza Bros, same,
  • Crack Down,
  • Line of Fire, was really pleasantly surprised by this conversion but it is hard
And let's add those I do not want to beat because they suck to high hell:
  • Street Fighter II, US Gold, enough said,
  • Chase HQ, same,
  • ThunderBlade, same,
  • Hydra, I'm actually on the fence, it is bad, but not horribly so,
  • Magic Johnson Basketball, damn, this one is bad,
  • SNK Fighting Soccer, horrible, I hope the arcade is better,
  • Curse of the Azure Bond, just too outdated and never was my cup of tea,
  • Champions of Krynn, same

I am in awe, I found this game dreadful to play back in the day and it amazes me that someone would want to reach the end.

Now, I am in stupor.
The idea that people exist who would 1) consider Rise of the Robots to be an actual game, 2) also want to play it, 3) to the very end!, is completely out of my comprehension.

Sir, I have no idea how you manage to like that ... thing ... but you must have super powers or something because this program is for me nothing but a painful reminder of US Gold (negative) contribution to the Amiga ecosystem and the world in general. I am not sure if I should cheer you or cry tears of sadness on your behalf.

No offence meant Sir/mate but you are definitely a special kind of kitten.

Erratum: US Gold has nothing to do with RoTR, my mistake.

@ReadOnlyCat:

Hehe, you would be surprised about some complete s$%t games in my list of completed game, like for instance:
Space Ace 1 & 2
Franko - Crazy Revenge
Astate
Final Blow

It seems I have special faible for bad games
I added a few to my list above, which now came to my mind again. Unfortunately, I don't have much time at the moment, having 2 small kids....
But time will come again for these games

Magic Pockets: last levels are so hard. Could not beat it without kind of cheating. Each time I try to get the secrets, and I lose lives.

Push Over: I completed it back in the days, now I cannot go past level 70.

Cannon Fodder I & II: too hard without savestate. Easy with savestate

Turrican II: seems cool but I cannot get past level 1, and I get bored after a while.

Lotus II: the last race is just soooo hard. I know someone who completed it ... once!

Sometimes you idealize how good the games are based on your best memories of them, and when you try them after all those years you find them frustrating/with a lot of long, annoying, stages... and you give them up.
And let's put arcade conversions aside: the arcade version is just better, especially when US Gold is in charge of the arcade=>ST=>Amiga ports.

I am very surprised that there is somebody that cannot beat 1st level of Turrican II, as I suppose it as one of the really easy games. Because of brilliant ballance.

Maybe it's problem with storm moment which you can avoid by jumping into "well".
