I'd be very suprised if this did actually happen but also very pleasantly suprised i should add.I'm already sold on Wii (take a look at the bowling , looks like way too much fun) as it seems to represent what games should be all about - fun fun fun.Graphics are pretty darn funky too even though it was supposed to be a lightweight in this department ( check out some of the movies for Excite Truck on IGN . Nice)

As Adropac2 says I too would be very surprised if this actually does happen, but if it does then I hope it uses WinUAE (and they somehow acknowledge Toni's hard work)

If they don't acknowledge Toni's hard work, I'll buy a red shiny apple, paint it green and sit on it for 1 day.... won't eat it though... becuase.. well, firstly, it's painted, secondly, it has been under my but for a day.

If they do it, they will have to license kickstart from Amiga Inc.
I guess that Nintendo pass the criterior of having a turnover of more than $500,000 |

Fook!
If Ninty owned Amiga Kickstart roms, it might actually become a challenge to find them on the wires... |

So this Wii (school boy giggle) does seem to be a bit of retro machine doesnt it? Adding Amiga and Arcade games to PCE, MD, SNES and NES games certainly gives that impression...

If all of what you have listed turns out to be true Antiriad (as per rumours) then I most definitely know where I'll be investing my money

Can't see it happening. Too many consoles supported by the Virtual console will mean that the users are buying less games as they can use a library of thousands for free.

But that's not how Nintendo is doing it. You have to pay for EACH GAME, not by the console. I don't know why the Nintendo fanboys are so hyped about the Virtual Console.. at $5 for a NES, $8 for a SNES, and $10 for a N64 game this is a rip off. Especially when you consider you can't trade, transfer, or sell the games you buy. It's cheaper to just buy these games second hand.
Edit: The only benefit I can see is playing multiplayer games online. As far as Amiga 500 games on the Wii. I'll believe it when I see it. |
