Amiga Floppy/Gotek System

A week ago I carried out a mod to a recently purchased Amiga 1200 to setup a dual Amiga floppy and Gotek in the case from instructions found here (https://www.ikod.se/amiga-1200-gotek/).

The original floppy drive was a Chinon FZ-354 which due to age developed a fault. With my new found soldering skills I though I would buy a PC floppy and convert it to work in the amiga. I bought a Samsung SFD-321D from eBay and converted it, it works perfectly.

Unfortunately, when everything is connected the selector.adf on the Gotek will not fully boot. However, when the Samsung drive is unplugged the Gotek will boot. Also, if I plug the Chinon FZ-354 in without power the Gotek will boot.

The Samsung has a missing Pin which is either 3 or 4, could that be the cause? I have another PC floppy and this also has this pin missing.

Is there a way round this to keep my new setup?
