A500+ RTC problem
Hi, I have an A500+ since several years. When I bought it, it already had a coin battery, with its holder. So I don't know if it has suffered from original battery leakage.
Apparently, everything works fine: the RTC keeps the date. However it is not possibile to modify the date stored in the RTC, i.e., setclock save does not change what is stored. Personally I can't visually spot damage on the mobo. The non-rechargeble battey currenty in-place it's there since I bought the machine, so it's old. I measured with a tester the voltage and it's around 2.5V, so too low. However it seem strange to me that this prevents the date modification but not the automatic update of the date. Any suggestion? |
