One of the features...
I also know Dino Dini thought Goal! was a much better game than KO 2, but even tough i really tried to like it, I just did not... |

Goal! is slower, can't see why you'd say any difference. Play at the highest speed in KO2 then in Goal! and you'll see that. However, I didn't say Goal! was slow. I said it was slower.
Either way, slower or not, it has nothing to do with the quality of the game. You seem to think I'm suggesting it's worse because it's slower. And please, don't accuse me of not knowing how to play the game just because I prefer SWOS or KO2 over Goal!. That's just juvenile. |

Hehe, actually I played it a lot. And I still play it occasionally. I'm probably better at Goal! nowadays than I am as KO2.

Don't bother, Sid. I've been trying to recruit KOA members in this forum for 5 years, and I only succeeded once (with Haakon). The EAB boys simply don't like Kick Off. But I try not to hold it against them.

Seriously though, I like all 3 (Kick Off 2, Goal!, Sensible Soccer). When Sensible was released we almost immediately forgot about Kick Off 2. But then, some weeks later, Goal! was released. And guess what, we almost immediately forgot about Sensi. :P I still have the occasional Goal! match with a friend of mine who sold his Amiga more than a decade ago.

I still can remember the hot Sensi sessions with my friends in the late '90s. Seriously played Kick Off 1 & 2 too, but this is not my cup of tea. Far beyond the SWOS playability. Goal!? Mmh... only a mediocre game, imho.

Well, as with so many other things in life, it's matter of taste. The friend of mine f.e. totally hated Kick Off 2 (and I loved it ) but he totally likes Goal! Sensi is indeed very playable but so is Kick Off 2 if you know how. For me, Goal! is still a lot of fun, even after 14 years of playing it we still discover new things from time to time. Truely one of my favourite soccer games on any platform.

Nice. I wonder what the record for the fastest goal in Goal! is. I can score after 5 seconds, I believe it's not possible to do it any faster but maybe I'm wrong.

"kamikaze attack" is the fastest goal of the Goal!, only run without stopping ahead by the center of field and shoot a autogoal, very useful in difficult levels.
