Not if you're using RF or Composite like I (unfortunately) am.

Tried filtered lores (and quite a few other combinations) but with no success. Shame. I enjoyed playing this demo and it looks like it flies along OK in WinUAE just makes you feel like you're on acid!

As an aside... I'm always amazed at all the people who used their Amigas on a TV o.o; ...back in the day I didn't know a single person who used a TV as their primary monitor (though occasionally we'd use a TV to show an animation or something to a bunch of people).

None of the Amiga dealers I went to even mentioned using it on a TV... ...and to be honest I don't think I'd want to considering how much better it looks on a monitor (and at the time we didn't have S-Video/component inputs on consumer TVs)...

I never realized until recently how many people were using TVs. I never met a person who did though until AFTER the bankruptcy. o.O

Oh and back on topic, I've never seen the color problem with VK on my A4000, though I think I only ever ran it on my A3640, and haven't tried to run it since I got the CSPPC.

I'm using a 14" TV, but it's a good one, and I'm using RGB Scart. It's a Sony Trinitron, and the coulours and sharpness is astonishing, it looks better than what my old 1084S did.

I very much doubt there is anything in it anymore. A modern, decent quality TV through RGB will look better than a 10 year old monitor

I hate using my Amiga through composite but my RGB scart vanished off the face of the earth years ago.

I think I still have a lead to connect my Amiga to a monitor but don't have a monitor anymore. Is it the lead you need, Killergorilla?

If it plugs into the RGB port on the back of the Amiga and has a Scart connector on the other end, then probably yes

I used to have one to connect to my 1084 but I think my brother must have eaten it or something.

Um... I think that's the one - Scart socket at one end and 25 (ish) pin socket at the other that connects to the monitor socket.

Not sure how I acquired it.

Free to a good home and yours (due to all your apparent good deeds for the Amiga community) would certainly meet that requirement! PM me your address and I'll get it posted ASAP but I'll E-mail you a pic of it 1st to make sure it's defo the right one. I'm pretty sure it's in working order.

If it IS the right lead it won't cost much to post and I've got some suitable recycled jiffy bag type things so happy to pay the postage myself (assuming you DO live in England!). Not sure when I'll get round to this though. I'm away for Xmas.

I found the attached text file just recently while poking around in an old source archive and I thought it might be interesting. It explains how the "hardware chunky" mode that VK uses works and includes some asm source code to show how it's done in practice.

Make of it what you will

So... to confirm - is it possible to get this looking how it should on my now accelerated A1200 which is connected to my LCD TV via an RGB scart lead? I have tried it with the scart lead and the RF cable and both look kak!

Almost certainly not on LCD. It uses a feature of CRT electronics. RF should have shown the correct effect on your LCD if it were susceptible. There is little chance but try composite video?

Luckily the Indivision scanline emulation does the trick.
