Question The settlers music: falling tempo

When playing the settlers music (mod.siedler ii @ unexotica) in deliplayer or winamp, at various theme variations (the first one being at approx. 2:50) the tempo decrease from the initial 125.
It results in a slower music than what is played on an Amiga.

I 'solve' this problem by using modplug tracker which easily allow to change the tempo while the music is playing (maybe Deliplayer or Winamp can, I haven't really checked).

Anyway, I'd like to know if this is supposed to be a normal behaviour/ due to player limitations (the module lasting almost 30 minutes) or if this module was not adequatly extracted which resulted in erroneous tempo information (and if so, if a kind soul could provide a perfect version).

Thanks in advance for any answer.

This is CIA/VBlank timing related, I think. In cia timing mode speed settings in protracker are used as vblank-values (0x00-0x1f) or as bpm parameters (0x20-0xff). However in vblank mode all values are considered vblank-values. I guess that the replay routines in deliplayer and winamp always assume cia-timing.

As there seems to be no switch in both players you would have to do it by hand. But I did it for you an so it's in the zone. Hope I didn't forget something...
