If your looking to DO IT ALL
Follow the link below for the Aminet file for putting your 1200 in a standard case
http://66.218.69.11/search/cache?p=a...icp=1&.intl=us There you will will find a file that contains the basics, It doesn,t seem to matter what checks you make else where, its seems IMPOSSIBLE to find a BETTER user guide of a custom build Maybe YOU CAN be the one to build the Ultimate conversion |

I'm putting my A1200 in a server tower, over 64 cm tall. It's a pc one, but with some modding it'll be fine.

I am still looking for the perfect tower for my 1200.
It must be huge, and before and Amiga part gets near it it must have Boing on it |

Its OK xalakibaniou I,m glad you found your way here
While it may not seem so this board IS interestd in the opinions of globbal Amiga users so we like to see your opinion in ENGLISH { if posible} as it is the English Amiga Board Which is a reference to it's common language NOT its sole membership I certainly hope your Amiga into PC case thread produces some original ideas as the current custom towers are viewed by many as ugly and oversized, when compared to lines of a A1200 desktop The comercial attempts as I recall all seem to rely on mounting the board vertically in an extra width custom tower case , as without extreme soldering & modding skills the moving of the A1200's backplate ports or use of short extension cables {even MORE UGLY ! } the main board cannot be fitted horizontally. Unless somebody comes up with a "BOLT ON " single SUPER ADDAPTOR I think we are still a long way off a simple solution IMHO of course |

@Chain
lmao! this was done many years ago, it was an ide port to a buffered interface, and whats the problem? it worked! better than having a crap bit of ide lead just hanging out lol Both towers have since been scrapped... I wouldnt do all this again tho, the innards on those tower just looked like a rats nest. I went back to proper stock a1200's in their vanilla cases with no mods |
