Batman The Movie SPS 0019 & KryoFlux/Real A500 weirdness

This one baffles me to say the least.

If I write back SPS 0019 or 1730, Batman The Movie, both 1 disk versions, I'm greeted by this screen on real A500.

The same image loads fine in WinUAE A500 quickstart.
Any idea what's going on here ?

As you may know some A500 models have Kickstart 1.2, not more common 1.3, that may be a problem.

My A500 has a rom switcher so I have already tried 1.2 and 1.3, same thing happens.

[edit]
Even the 2 disk SPS version shows the same screen when I insert disk 1 into Amiga.

I'll check mine but i 'm pretty sure my kryoflux works with it, it was one of the ones i used for testing. I do use a lot of High Density disks too, (i just block off the HD hole). I know that certain Disk drives do not like certain NDOS disks too.

So far this game is the only one acting up on me.

I'm using a Sony MPF920-L drive.

It's an original drive.

I just found out that it indeed is the drive that doesn't like this game.
The game boots and works fine in my A1200 (AmigaKit drive).

The worst ipf for me to get working is "magic lines" it is VERY! picky and hit and miss. Sometimes it will work and mostly not

I guess it's time to go hunting for a new drive then.

I've thought of getting one of the A600/A1200 drives.
I know they don't physically fit but with some hacking around I guess it should be possible to pull off.

I know I could get an SD HxC emulator, but that doesn't work with .ipf images, so that's out of the question.
Besides I have an abundance of old floppies just screaming to be put to use.

I found the Samsung brand of original floppy drives behaved the best in my ipf testing on the amiga for loading the NDOS disks

Yes I just get a guru after a while.

Agony on the other hand, what bliss it is to play that from floppy without the need to wait for ages.

Success !
I remembered I had an old Panasonic drive lifted from an A1200 lying about.
The drive fits (after a little hacking ) and works 100%.

Batman works now and so does Arte!

The drive I replaced was salvaged from a dead A500 I was given for free a couple of years ago.
It's a Citizen OSDC-45C, I've never seen one of those in an Amiga before.
It's probably a modified drive after all.
