Maybe the Windows Compatibility Mode (for Win 7/8) works for the whdrun.exe.

Then it's maybe related to the mingwm10.dll. Probably not compatible with W10.

Just wanted to say a HUGE thanks Belgarath for creating this new version, I have been using 1.6 for many years and can hardly believe that there is a new version now, just awesome! I only discovered this today.

I just thought i'd run the ADF games through the latest TOSEC dat for a laugh and whooaah! There are a lot of Bad Dumps, Bad Dos Copy's, Mixed cracked versions, Mixed Alternate versions etc. It definitely shows that this began creation a long time ago. Thanks though.

All newer installs from Retroplay are supported. Grab them all via a FTP tool from the EAB file server.

But first you need to convert the lha archives to zip. WinRAR can do that.

It would be much simpler if all archives are made the same way. To make them work I remade them in Amiga with classicwb for my other project.
What games did not work with ZIP?

No renaming, just convert them. Some might not work, but only a few i assume.

I dont think so, this time offered ADFs are carefully selected, at least a step forward.
Please report supposed bad dumps etc!

I was just talking about the current Gamebase 2.0 ADF games that Belgarath put on the FTP. The latest TOSEC reports a lot of them as alternate versions mixed with normal, Disk 1 cracked by one group and Disk 2 cracked by a different group, bad Dos Copy's etc. Maybe these are the only combination that work correctly. Just run the TOSEC on the ADF games and you'll see what I mean. I don't think it's anything major.

There are no known bad dumps anymore in v2, there are a few doscopies, but already reported:
http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=...5&postcount=25
some of them are still there, beause no better version available, and its not proved if this doscopy issue causes any proplem in this games.
again post examples!!

Yes thanks to Mai I've replaced most of the bad dumps, there are a few still in there but that's where as far as I know there's no known good dump.

Mixed alternates is not a problem, I've had sets of disks that were part of one package get reported as different alt sets. Although there's been major improvements in tosec names, there's generally little proof that all [a]'s belong together and all [a1]'s are part of another set.

I've tested what I could but if you do find a problem game then report it and I'll change it! Simple as that

Also as far as I know GameBase Amiga is still the closest thing you will get to an offline version of HOL.

I found these by passing the Gamebase 2.0 ADF's through the latest TOSEC. Maybe they are still useable.

1000 Miglia (1992)(Simulmondo)(en-it)[cr Goonies][t +1 Goonies][b crack]
Double Dragon (1989)(Melbourne House)[cr QTX][m baddump]
Great Courts (1989)(Ubi Soft)[cr QTX][b dump]
John Madden American Football (1992)(Electronic Arts)(Disk 2 of 2)[m baddump]
Kenny Dalglish Soccer Match (1989)(Impressions)[cr QTX][b corrupt file]
Kwasimodo (1987)(Courbois)[cr][h BST][b corrupt file]
Leisure Suit Larry 1 - In the Land of the Lounge Lizards v1.000 (1991-07-04)(Sierra)(Disk 3 of 4)(2)[cr SR][b corrupt file][SCI remake]
Lords of Doom v1.00 (1991)(Starbyte)(Disk 2 of 2)[b checksum error]
Retee 2! (1993)(Ocean)(IT)(en)(Disk 2 of 2)[h TCB][b checksum error]
Think! (1991)(Wolf Computertechnik)(DE)[cr DLT][b corrupt file]
Time Race (1990)(Loriciel)(Disk 2 of 2)[cr Angels - Genesis][b corrupt file]
Typhoon v1.0 (1987)(Kingsoft)[cr Movers][h Infernal Duo][b corrupt file]
Ultima IV - Quest of the Avatar (1988)(Origin)[b missing files]

Are 'bamcopy' considered OK ? I miss-read them as 'bad copy' (There are a lot). Example :-
4D Sports Boxing v1.0 (1991)(Mindscape)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr CSL][m bamcopy]

Also, are mixed cracked versions OK ? (The disk numbers on the following example seem strange too) :-
Deliverance (1992)(21st Century)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr FLT][t +3 DTC]
Deliverance (1992)(21st Century)(Disk 2 of 2)[cr FLT]
Deliverance (1992)(21st Century)(Disk 3 of 3)[cr SCX][t +1 SCX]

Federation Quest 1 - B.S.S. Jane Seymour (1990)(Gremlin)(M3)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr PDX]
Federation Quest 1 - B.S.S. Jane Seymour (1990)(Gremlin)(M3)(Disk 2 of 2)[cr Valhalla]

Some disks aren't even detected by TOSEC for example :-
Ghouls 'N Ghosts (1989)(U.S. Gold)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr Flashtro][t +13 Flashtro] (detected)
Disk 2 ? (Not detected or may have been detected as a different game disk ?)
