ECS productivity mode producing black screen
Tested with version 5.1.
To reproduce: 1) Select A500+/A600/A3000 models for full ECS chipset 2) Boot into Workbench 2.x 3) Load the multiscan monitor driver and select productivity from preferences If you change the filter options (e.g. select auto scaling) you can briefly see the correct screen, then it goes black again. |

I can't duplicate it with my WB 3.1 config + full ECS + A500 KS 3.1 + Multiscan:Productivity monitor.
Does it happen without any filters? (filter mode = "no scaling") |

Yep, it happens with any filter settings (including no default and no scaling). Otherwise all default settings.
Perhaps the productivity mode under WB 3.x is doing something different? This was using the mode from WB 2.x. Just booting from the workbench floppy is enough to replicate it every time for me. Other modes are correct. |

Yes, WB 2.1 Multiscan modifies HBSTOP twice for some unknown reason that trigger continuous display reset. Perhaps some chipset workaround.
Will be worked around.. Last edited by Toni Wilen; 02 January 2024 at 20:18. |
