Saving Game Ports as Default

I want WinUAE to default to Port 2 Keyboard Layout B automatically every time it starts but I can't seem to figure it out. If I save that setting under a default configuration the next time I load WinUAE up I have to load the configuration again. Is it possible for it to have that setting without loading it every time? Thanks for any help.

That works fine here. If you say 'a default configuration' do you mean a configuration that is exactly called 'default.uae' or just one that says 'UAE default configuration' in the description?

I've tried it with both and still no luck. I asked about it on Discord and someone said others have had the same issue, maybe it's a bug for some people.

Run with log window open and check if default.uae gets loaded or if there are some error.

for example "winuae.exe -log" from command (cmd) line.

I did get an error it said:

Perhaps the default path is wrong? Check Paths panel for configuration-path (and also bottom default paths)

Thanks. Yesterday I was fiddling around with it and somehow got it to work but am not sure what I did Will keep those ideas in mind if it happens again, thanks again and thank you for supporting the Amiga!

Edit the \WinUAE\Configurations\Default.uae

joyport1=kbd1 (Keyboard Layout A)
to
joyport1=kbd2 (Keyboard Layout B)
