EAB and Opera

As some (ok, no-one) might remember, I've taken a particular interest in shamelessly copying this board's looks for a private project (don't worry, just for sharpening the web dev skills). Now I've been messing about with Opera, and I'm wondering whether RCK has tried out the board with Opera (no offense, as I really think you're doing a great job with it).
As in Opera, some of the tables are misaligned (particularly in threads, where the vertical lines to the right of the poster's names are do not run into eachother). Also, some tables such as vBulleting warnings and other messages of interest, are aligned to the left instead of the middle where I guess they're supposed to be.

I'm using Opera Version 6.0, Build 1010 on Win98.

Oh! And the cursor doesn't change to a hand when hovering over a smilie!

Edit: Hmm. The validator says that this code:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">
<HTML>
<HEAD>
<TITLE>Title</TITLE>
</HEAD>
<BODY>
<img src="../../My Documents/iknowu/graphics/Smilies/agree.gif" width="15" height="15" border="0" alt="agree.gif - 990 Bytes" style="cursor:hand">
</BODY>
</HTML>
is free of errors under the HTML 4.01 standards, but that the style attribute is illegal under HTML 3.2... But Opera uses 4.01, no?
(I posted on their forum, I'll let you know if I get an answer)

It doesn't do that here in IE5.5 SP1 either. Then again, I just reinstalled the OS etc, and now my bleeding mouse's scroll wheel doesnt work in IE either, so it is probably just my system .

IMO, the <style="cursor:hand"> is a tricky tag

I've activated it due to the board members request, but I can't confirm it will work under all configuration

True, but it does give an indication to the users that the smilies are clickable (which they probably know anyhow, but anyway).

Maybe you should get the driver for that mouse. I had to re-install it too after I refreshed my Win98 installation.

I did get the driver. The scrolly wheel works fine in windows (which it didnt before the reinstall ) and other apps, just not in IE. As soon as I find my CD with Netscape 4.7 on it, that is going back on and IE can go to hell. At the moment it isn't even caching the graphics on this board (the post thread, edit, delete buttons etc), despite the proper options being set . Oh well. Never liked IE anyway.

Post FYI

Found here (through a helpful guy on the Opera forums):

Quote:
CSS support

Opera 6 supports all of CSS1.

Opera 6 supports all of CSS2 with the exception of:
Opera 6 is a visual browser and does not support Aural CSS
these properties: clip, cursor, direction, font-size-adjust, font-stretch, marker-offset, marks, text-shadow, unicode- bidi, and all outline properties
Linux only: the system values on the font property as well as system colors
the values added to list-style-type in CSS2
these property/value combination: 'display: marker', 'text-align: <string>', 'visibility: collapse', 'content: <url>', 'overflow: scroll', 'overflow:auto'
named pages (as described in section 13.3.2)
the '@font-face' construct

All CSS2 selectors are supported with the exception of:
:first-child, :focus, :lang
combinations with pseudo-classes before other selectors
So it's not your fault (nor mine )!
