Update #1

Here's the first update for my WHDload game image collection. As usual all the images are named in line with WHDLoad/Retroplay's latest updates.

I'll be releasing updates monthly and new full base sets every couple of months. I'm also going to work on getting some CLRMamePro dat files created for each set, so you can keep the images up to date.

There are four update archives that are split between AGS, IGame, TinyLauncher and PNG. I've put all the different image sets for each type into one archive as they are only a couple of meg each. Here's whats new...

Thanks so much for your ongoing work with these updates, well above and beyond. This is such a great project. I am using your images on my emulation setup as well as my real A1200.

WHDLoad Images Update #2

Here's May's update for my WHDLoad image collection. Loads of new games this month with quite a lot released in the last few days. I've trawled around the interweb to find the more obsure box images and I have had to "adapt" a few, but I think the results are pretty good.

As usual the images are in sync with Retroplay's latest updates and named accordingly. The readme tells you if anything needs deleting. Other than that, just copy the update folders over your collection.

The next update in June will be a full update as I am working on getting the Demo images updated. I've made all new cover images but I want to add the release date on to the them which means adding 800+ dates to my database, which is taking a long time. I'm also updating the screen shots at the same time.

Been a bit busy this month with work, writing DDLaunch for DamienD, Adding dates and publishers for approx 4000 WHDLoad games and demos to my database and life in general.

They will be with the next release. I'm writing the code now to generate the dat files internally without using Dir2Dat. This will make the whole process a lot simpler.

I also want my program to generate a csv of all the WHDLoad titles and details I have in my database as well. Not sure why, but it might be useful to someone.

Gonna be a busy month!

Maybe worth contacting the author of HSTWB so he can include your alternative set of screenshots in his installer script.

I don't think he's about. There's been no updates to HSTWB in over a year. If Henrik comes back, he's more than welcome to use the images.

That is sad to hear as Henrik did a remarkable job of streamlining HSTWB. I used it to install WB 3.1.4 and WHDLoad packs with AGS2. Maybe we can send him some donations to motivate him to restart the project?

I tried to unpack ther files with DirctoryOpus but gives me a error that my lha version is too old.

Which lha version do I need?

I've tried LHA v2.15 and that works fine. Which archive are you getting the error with?

Thanks for the update however for some reason I get corrupted graphics for the following games.

I'm using the "IGame_Screens_AGA_Laced" and all the other games in the update have no problems, it's only just the four in the list that have corrupted graphics.

It does it on my winuae image too. It only seems to be those two images. I can view them on my PC in irfanview fine. I'll have a play tonight and post an update.

I worked it out. The images were being converted to 24bit rather than 8 bit. I've uploaded a new set of IGame images to the Update#3 Mega and FTP links above. I'll update the full set in the next few hours.

This only affected IGame images.
