Another PCMCIA problem

Hi;

Not sure if anyone else has this problem, but I have an A1200 (With a DKB Cobra 68030 and 64MB Fast Ram), with a SquirrelSCSI adaptor and a Chinon 2X CD Rom Drive. Whenever I plug the PCMCIA card into the slot, and the system tries to mount the drive, it freezes rock solid. If I pull the card or shut the drive off, everything works again. I don't think it's a driver issue as nothing has changed on the system since it last worked.

Any ideas what could cause this?

Dan

Sounds like a problem with the PCMCIA address space being overwritten, but i have a cobra too, and did not think this was a card affected with this problem because I can use PCMCIA LAN with this card. (Yes with 64MB too).

Does the SquirrelSCSI work okay with the Cobra removed ?

Tricky.

Well, it worked just fine last night. Powered up my A1200, popped in Euroscene 1 and it worked fine. Wierd. Do you find with your cobra that some games/demos run REAL slow (music and gfx out of sync too)? I can't get the whdload version of Super Stardust to run properly - graphics are messed up.

Is there a way in software to disable the 030?
