What's the score? Is there a total final time displayed after the league/cup? Or just points?

Time, because points would lead to a lot of ties

How does this work?
Hardly a "score attack" game this is... not a good choice..

We have to finish the game or what?

DO NOT UNDERSTAND

Seems like Akira. Just played the game and timed out in the second race We could also only play the first race and post the times...
Maybe one of the folks who wanted to play it can enlighten us who we should play it...
Second one on the list is Super R-Type which would really prefer to play

Hmm... not a big fan of racing games... quite the opposite actually.

I'll think it trough if I want to give this one a go. Will wait after the rules of engagement are at least more clear.

I hope TF has thought of the way we should play this one before he voted it on the first place

We could either do by score and position to remove potential ties or we could do practice which i don't think you race against anything and do the 5 tracks in whatever circuit or we can choose another game. I don't have a preference.

Let's take three courses (you name them ), because we will need to post screenshots for every one of them, so five would be too much. Let's play Practice with no opponent then (pretty boring, but everybody has a chance to compete then).

I think things like these should be defined before hand, and a filter for games to be voted SHOULD be implemented. A game like F-Zero shouldn't be considered for a score competition.

Since you are going to calculate TIMES, do you realize how many could have the exact same timings for course? Also, how do you sum them up? Best overall score or what?

Next time we'll end up with a Legend of Zelda Challenge

Racing games were played in the Super League before and you can easily sum up times. Don't see a problem with that. Since I haven't played F-Zero much yet the question is only which mode to play. The practice mode seems to be a good way to have something we can compare, rather then the Grand Prix mode were you get thrown out if you fail to reach the first three places.

Sounds good! I havent tried it yet, but there is no reason why it won't work! And theres no reason why we shouldnt vote for and play these types of games!! (The spice of life!!)

Well i don't think we stated any competition is just for highscore. Again, if this is a problem just select r-type. Seriously, i can already tell this is going to piss people off. I haven't played this game for over 17 years. I thought the scoring worked a bit different. Again, I only picked games I liked out of who voted ahead of me. The games id select most likely would have had no one voting for them anyhow.

Just bump up R-type so atleast everyone will want to play the game after 1 day.

If we're going to grind it out the the tracks will be:
Silence
White Land I
Port Town II

No, we will play F-Zero FFS Would be nice if you could just name 3 out of the 7 tracks that we should play, but if not I will do it this evening. Next time if someone votes a game with no 'clear' scoring system, I will ask him to state [B]exactly[B] the way we should play the game then. No harm done and now we know yet another problem that may occur

Edit : Thanks a bunch TF
