Coolest song ever.

This has nothing to do with games. I don't want to break any rules, but this thread is cool, so there. Coolest song ever:

Theme from "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly", composed by Ennio Morricone.

Very good thread Frederica and I like your seed/starter pick. Man this guy could write, he did a few other soundtracks too

I give a nod to Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield. Someone has to know the movie that used it, sorry but I thought the movie sucked and never scared the bejesus out of me hint, hint....

You know Fred that Henry Mancini wrote the theme for the Pink Panther, one of the funniest comedy series of all time, well IMHO anyways

Fred*, you must have some sort of trans-continental psychic power, or summat. I was all set to start a thread along the lines of 'What have you got in your stereo right now', or something like that, but go and have a shower instead, and pow! A musical thread appears. Spooky.

Anyway. Tricky one. I quite like "Fly Me to the Moon" by Bart Howard, but only the version sung by Julie London. But then I also like "Bawitdaba", by Kid Rock. Nope, too indecisive.

*Can I call you Fred?

Blackcornflake, to not like Frank Sinatra's timeless version (now hijacked by the Intel people for their new series of commercials touting the new P4 notebook chip) is criminal.
Jim, of course I am aware of Mancini's work in the Pink Panther series. Those movies I own, and watch them often
Funny stuff, Sellars was pure genius.

But of course he was, my favorite Sellars movie is Dr. Strangelove then followed closely by the Magic Christian :laugh

Doc Strange was classic! I love the strange, eerie trailer for it on one of my DVD's. "How to LOVE the bomb".
Crayzee.

Ah, The Magic Christian with Sellars and Ringo! And the wonderful music score by Badfinger. Now I want to go download the soundtrack to "Goodbye Columbus" (The Association). Oh, the decadence...

*Pouring an entire box of Froot Loops on Twist's head*
How's that for decadent?

Depends on what you consider decadent. My answer would have to be yes, but only if there is a cardboard cut-out record of Bobby Sherman on the back of the cereal box.

Perhaps a smoothy made out of Fruit Loops, Ovaltine, Frosted Flakes and Sarsperilla would do the trick

If you do actually mean the 'coolest', then I think either:
Any tune from Reservoir dogs...Stuck in the middle with you, little green bag etc.....or
Lalo Schifrin's..Dirty Harry theme, that is a seriously cool and funky tune!

The only thing cool about Meat Loaf is the fact he looks like the 300 pound fat, ugly broad that works in the deli section of my local supermarket.

Wow that is cool!!

Bat out of hell (not BOOH2) is a classic though. Brilliant lyrics in that tune.

Let's put it this way. I want "Pinch a Loaf", or whatever that turd of a toad's name is, dead and butchered. His garbage is classic American white trash bar tunes. I hate that "culture" and hate him. Period.
