Some other game by Automagick Industries was FACETTE, which was already requested here back in 2002.
Maybe put this into the list too. |

Is there really no demo version for Nobby the Aardvark. Just read the Amiga Games article. Another fake review?

TOSEC holds a 'Contraption Zack (1993)(Presage Dev)[HD]' set. If yours is cracked, imported or something like that, it would be nice if you could upload it

My, what an old thread...
Thanks for exhuming Well, Contraption Zack on floppy disk and running from floppy, that would really be a nice find, since I've already started to give up the hope that it will ever be found! CZ (TOSEC version) does come in floppies, but there are only *install* files on these disks which you have to fire on a HD to play the game by using the installer on the disk! It won't work OOTB, that's for sure. Last edited by andreas; 04 August 2010 at 21:28. |

Yeah but thats how it comes. It only has a hard disk install version AFAIK. If you were to search the code I doubt you would find an 'insert disk x' anywhere in it.
Its a failure all round. No protection schemes at all Rushed to market No QC (720mb stated on the floppies lol) crap slow graphics/sound no mouse terrible controls not bootable LHA'd incrimental install files (oh the pain) Thin manual Possibly a PC port. Thanks for looking into this, there was at least another chance of tracking down a floppy version (running OOTB) after all those years...
Actually it is obvious that it was a DISK SPACE issue. They decided to compress the stuff to hell on the disks supplied (thus saving one less; having to ship 2 or 3 was quite a criteria back in those days) and then uncompress it to storage media capable of holding more than 2 MB, namely HDDs. |

I remember looking at an issue of CU Amiga around 1991, and there was a screenshot or two of a pre-release version of Ultimate's "Underwurlde".
I also recall Amiga Power (I think it was them) running a massive feature on games that didn't make it to retail. I think "Sabre Wulf" and "Dennis The Menace" were two of the many games featured. Could either of these be dug out of the archives and added to the site? |
