Re-living the old Amiga videos

One point i came across when re-watching "History of Amiga" as one phrase Stan Shepard (Chip designer) said "We never checked to make sure the Amiga got it, We just assumed it got it"

This is probably why u got those "GURU" boxes appear and/or restarts when issues happen, but at which point did that start changing to "this software now checks to see if u only have 512K vs 1MB" of memory to run ? Maybe that came later?

As, if there were never checks then the "You need 1MB to run this software: lines u saw would not be actual checks at all but just text which didn't actually mean anyting, which wouldn't make sense.
