Thanks for the info s2325

Megadeth Disk - 5 Games (1989)(-)[KS 1.2].adf [CRC 0796AA8A] is the '1989 preview' version so updated post #4.

I can't find "Supplex-PackGame2" anywhere; do you have this disk that I can look at my friend?

Thanks, found it

The file on "Pack Game #2 (1990)(Supplex).adf" [CRC AC09FC9A] is the '1990 release' version (but faulty and trained) so updated post #4.

Just made it to level 27. From level 16 onwards you need to jump on squares twice to change their colour.

Level 17 is the same as level 1 and they repeat afterwards...

That blue raspberry looking enemy AKA "Paint Fool" who changes squares back to their original colour is a real pain in the bum

Also a word of warning; if you pick up the "miniature hero item with L above" (which gives you an extra life); don't go past 7 lives... I did this, the lives counter reset to 0 and when I died the game ended

level 32 lol guessing you used some sort infinite lives hack, game gets alot harder once the paintfool baddie arrives and starts undoing all your work, dont think i ever got to level 16 even back in the amiga days when i played this alot, so well done if you didnt cheat

Nope, didn't cheat

The game is pretty easy once you work out a few strategies:

a) Jumping <fire button> takes off energy so use sparingly; usually just to jump over enemies or get to an item quickly.
b) Collect the "cake" as much as you can. This gives you extra energy.
c) Collect the "green bowl with orange balls". This gives you speed and you can collect more than once for extra speed (I think 4 times but could be 3).
d) Collect the "miniature hero item with L above". This gives you an extra life.
e) A trick I use when low on energy or lives is to change all squares but one on the grid. Just keep moving around and wait for more "cakes" or "miniature hero item with L above" to appear. It doesn't matter it the "countdown" finishes; you just don't get the bonus points.

Note: a word of warning, don't pickup the "miniature hero item with L above" if you have 7 lives... I did this, the lives counter then resets to 0 and when I died the game ended

Finally, as I've now finished the "1989 preview" and "1990 release" version; the good news is that the disk I created is 100% working

This ruined the whole game! Another thing I do not like is that the squares do not change color when you have jumped on them once.

I think I like Puggles more: http://hol.abime.net/4363
