Should the joystick or mouse port be displayed first?
I'm reviewing some user interface choices, and here's an open question:
- Should the joystick port (port 1) device selector be displayed above / before the mouse port (port 0) selector (Currently, port 0 is displayed before port 1, simply because 0 < 1). What would make most sense for new users? Of course part of the question is also: is it worth switching from todays behavior? This question applies both to FS-UAE Launcher and the on-screen menu in FS-UAE. Last edited by FrodeSolheim; 06 February 2013 at 18:31. |

I voted for the first point because I think the Amiga is in first line a computer and not a game console

Of course -I wasn't suggesting to renumber the ports or anything, just looking for thoughts on what is the most intuitive and/or suitable *display order* for Amiga setup.
People currently need to think (a bit) to understand that player 2 (usually) uses the device in the top selector, and player 1 the one in the lower. Possibly just a problem for "console users" |
