Ok, I checked and there is a problem with saving replays. But I think I know how to fix that one already.

I just played a match and the Computer scored a very embarrasing goal so it's good that the saving didn't work :P I'll post updated slave in a while, stay tuned!

Just a question, in the original Kick Off 2, are goals saved to a different disk than teams/cups? And how the hell can I create a data disk from scratch?

@StingRay,

So it isn't my config ?

In KO2 , cups ,teams and replays are in the same disk.Other stuff as "special events" , tactics are on others disks.

Ok, thanks for info, expect updated slave in a few minutes. It wasn't your config, the bug occurs depending on the order you do certain things. As I only checked saving replays in a "Single Game" (i.e. I didn't do anything else before) I didn't notice this bug.

the FW works OK on my real amiga! I have to boot from another partition with another OS installed but doesn't matter.

I'd love to try the slave for the normal CV (not FW) but producing the disk image is not so easy...where is DIC found?

...any chance for a ready disk image? :P

Hello , i have tested it a bit more this morning and here is the result , as i said we can now save cup and replays in winuae and real amiga , we can see them (replays) , load cups when the game is running.
Now when you reset the amiga or winuae and start again the game , there is no more saves ...it seems nothing is kept in the data disk .

I need more info as I can't reproduce that problem here. I already checked yesterday and I can load Cups/Replays etc. without problems. So please again, step by step description what you do. Thanks.

Now when you stop winuae or real amiga and later restart , you start the game and can't see what was saved nearly.

Yes you said that already but I thought you may do something in special order (see "save replay" problem above) which may cause this problem. I never experienced anything like that here and again I'm quite puzzled... Are all saves gone? I.e. the whole disk is empty?

Ok ,
1 : start the game
2: international frienly
3 : when a goal is scored : r F1 (to save the goal)
4 : match finished
5 : go to see match replay and can see it (tried too to save it as golden goal)
6 : reset amiga
7 : start again and all saves gone and disk is empty.

Hope step by step is good now.

Thanks, I'll check. Even though that's exactly how I tested loading/saving. Can you upload your disk.9 image once again AFTER you tried to save a goal? Thanks.

err... NOWRITECACHE tooltype is not set maybe?

edit: or you need to use the whdoad quit key before resetting

Spot on Horace!

Just tested, that's exactly the cause of the problem! So either use the WHDLoad quit key (which I always used for testing) or use NOWRITECACHE tooltype.
