BB 2.1, higher resolution than 320x256 but with square ratio..

Is it possible in BB2 to create a game in higher res than 320x256 but with square aspect ratio?
Can BB2 use double pal modes?

Using Hires will gives me streched 640x256. I tryied to load a bitmap that I squashed from 640x512 to 640x256
and displayted it 640x256 hires, it looks quite nice. I also load that bitmap in original 640x512 using hires interlaced mode hack with two cooper lists,
it looks very good, but of course you cant do a game in that matter.

I found out that you can use only Amiga Mode to create any screen, but in that case every thing woulde be slower if not using blitz mode.

I was wondering how SlamTilt managed do work in hires laced in aga with all that complexity.

Interlaced screens without the OS appears to be a tricky thing to do. Check out this thread for some details.
