MovieShop apps?
I'm putting my A4000 back together after a recapping & refurbishment. I want to set up a VLM video edit system on it.
Anyone have BigDisk by Janos Farkas for the VLabMotion card to upload to the Zone? VLM & MovieShop don't like partitions bigger than 4GB, or beyond the 1st 4GB of any drive. VLM & MovieShop ignore the usual system patches that fix this. BigDisk was the only work-around solution. Also looking for VirtualEngine and/or VirtualCompose for use with MovieShop. Other MovieShop related plug-ins/add-ons/FX-disks/etc welcome too. Thanx. |

I only have the BigDisk demo. Maybe someone can crack it. Let me know if you want it, and I will upload it to The Zone!
I am also looking for VirtualEngine and/or VirtualCompose for use with MovieShop, I only have the demo versions. |

Go ahead and add the demo of BigDisk to The Zone! Thanks.
What are the demo limitations? Does it need a key to activate the full features? |

Ok, the demo version is in The Zone!
Hopefully someone can crack it The demo version of the product is called 'bigdemoinit', it works very similar to biginit, except: - It will not read the size of your connected hardisk, but assumes, that it is larger than 6GB. - It creates 3 2GB units, so you can test if you can write and read the hardisk on parts above 4GB. |

Thanks. Before discovering the 4GB limitation of VLM & MovieShop, I was considering a large drive with multiple 4GB partitions. BigDisk seems to be the only solution.
My alternative option is an externally accessible CF drive in one of the floppy bays. I could use different 4GB cards for individual projects. I'd still like to find a full version of BigDisk though. Using the wayback machine, I found an old page describing BigDisk. https://web.archive.org/web/20051214...w/bigdisk.html |

I havent tested it myself, but I believe Elbox IDE software has a similar workaround for Amiga partitions (ide split option). It may also work with MovieShop.

You may also try this: http://thomas-rapp.homepage.t-online.de/splitdisk.lha
It is fully functional, not a demo. And still supported by the author |

MacroSystem has long left VlabMotion & DraCo users on their own, and you seem to be the only one remaining who could share this information. Maybe release your source as a working example? Please, give it a thought. |
