And the hardware developer is Michael Bohmer (of 3EB) and NOT Balmer as is wrongly written in the first post. He's the guy behind Subway USB of course.

Hurrah . I want one, so long as the clockport works properly and the price isn't insane. Well the price probably will be a bit insane but let's hope it is a pleasant surprise. Not sure what this means though -

Mixing inputs for Paula, genuine sound and line in are
provided
Will these be analog inputs to software controlled DSP mixer or a simple analog mix with the output of the DSP? What is meant by genuine sound?

Would be good to have pan control over Paula outputs, especially since a headphone out is included, (which is neat btw), and perhaps user code plug ins could be developed applying DSP beyond just codec and basic mix functions.

Genuine sound to me is = Paula sound, don't know what else it might be. Line in means CD Audio connection among others as lukassid 'suggested'.

Prism Megamix. New soundcard for classics!

Can someone explain this for me: "Audio data transfers are streamed at 16-bit (Zorro II) or 8-bit (Clockport), and bit banging is not required..."

I'm guessing this just means how the audio transfer is handled ( in 8 but words combined? ) rather than the output itself on clock port amigas is 8 bit

I'm thinking it means that it can do full 16-bit quality PCM sound natively, i.e. without bit banging, even in 8 bit clock port mode, although it would be weird otherwise. It will have a hardware FIFO buffer to ease the realtime constraints of the audio application, like all other sound cards.

Yes 8bit simply refers to the transfer across the clockport, not the quality of the audio.
