New iPhone App: MOD/SID/Music player

Hi Folks.

I just thought I'd let you know that I've released an iPhone/iPod Mod/SID/iTunes library player if anybody is interested, called GeekTunes. Its a "one stop shop" app that will play everything from the one app.. or at least that was my aim.

Its been designed for easy use in the car so it has big buttons..

App Store: https://itunes.apple.com/nz/app/geek...715319265?mt=8
Official page: https://sites.google.com/site/geektunes2/

Cheers
Sparky

Thanks for the interest. In regard to Amiga mods, I'm planning on adding a feature to shift mod channels from hard left or hard right to mono. This would mainly be to stop drums bashing away on one side of the car only.. It would be configurable and memorable per mod but I am not sure how useful it would be to the masses. If drums jump around the four channels it won't work.. But I might just give it a go anyway. This has been my gripe with all mod players so far

As for the car.. I want to try adding voice recognition for true hands free operation but that may not work well with music in the background. Time will tell

Looks good, but I use Modizer for everything I could ever need for this type of thing and its cheaper, I think I paid 0.99 cent for it. Maybe you should do a free edition version to indorse people into the paid version.

A gift for all who love the chipTune stuff and its completely free and was done by the guys at chiptune.com, available only for android at the moment, but kick ass

https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...chiptune&hl=en

Enjoy and best of luck with your app too, hope it does well

Thanks. Modizer is $2.59.. Same price as my app. Modizer certainly looks better. My app was written with a different goal in mind.. Mainly ease of use for driving.. And easy bath tub use if I get voice recognition working ok :-)

Feel free to be creative and draw me one yourself. I'm a programmer not an artist.

just slightly wrong with your valuated pricing fella,
http://www.appannie.com/apps/ios/app/modizer/

Itunes US pricing
https://itunes.apple.com/app/id393964792

but as I mention best of luck with it and fully understand the drawbacks of been a programmer and not a artist, I'm sure you'll get some great icon work created from the members here to help with a more professional appearance for you.

Hmm. Thats weird. I wonder if its because I looked up the price on my iPad. Perhaps there's an iPad version of Modizer for $2.59.. or maybe the price has also been dropped. Not to worry. If I was aiming for a battle with Modizer (which I'm not - because I would lose) then I would drop the price. My app has been a hobby for a purpose - one of many hobbies.

I may change the icon on the next version. Not too worried though - the app does what I need it do, has a list of planned features I personally would like and if it works well for others, then thats cool. I'm not trying to retire out of the app thats for sure.

Thanks for the good wishes all the same. Constructive feedback is always appreciated.

Icon only? Honest advice, team up with a designer, it looks horrid.
Just because you can get something that works up and running and into the App store doesn't mean you have to release it just as it is, make an effort and join forces with someone who does the UI for you. This is a common problem with a lot of coders.

Sigh.. Its not meant to look pretty - its supposed to be functional. My only goal was to try and recover the US$100 developer license fee so I can run the app in my own car.. and share it with others.
