Weren't Amigas used for the display panels in Star Trek: The Next Generation too? I don't think that one has been posted yet.

in more or less all the Red Dwarf episodes I've seen, especially when they're in StarBug, the Amiga's are easy to spot. And whoever thought it was spotted in the Mindwarp-test of Rimmer's, was right, afait

Well, how about this...

The model of Apple Macintosh computer shown in the Plexicorp office scene is the Mac Plus. According to rumor, it was intended to be an Amiga, but Commodore required the producers to purchase a computer while Apple was willing to lend them the machine shown. Regardless, hidden Amigas were used to produce the screens of the Vulcan computer used by Spock to re-train himself in logic (easily recognized by the Amiga Garnet font).

I heard Dragonheart was first mentioned to use Bones from Lightwave running on Amigas when rendering the beast. I'm pretty sure it was the first film to do this technique.

Alf also used an A1000, and A2000 in the show. I recall that Alf was using in one episode the A2000 to buy and sell online on the stock market exchange, with the results that everyone can guess.

I remember a movie, don't recall the name tough , that there was a van with some police agents recording digitally some conversations in a house, in a couple of A500. It shows clearly the WB 1.3 mouse pointer moving and the recording software with the wave sound on screen.

Ah that's interesting, that's the one that got remade by Christopher Nolan, it had Al Pacino in it. Bet their version had a crappy PC.

Paul Robinson in neighbours running a business, his Amiga infected with a virus. This was around 1991.

BBC Box Clever Game in 1987, where the Amiga was the main prize. The host was Hughes(Ex Rugby Player).

An advert Christmas 1988, showing enhanced graphical game(F1 Interceptor). The jet was heading for the San Francisco coast, with the last image of a giant teddy bear.

IIRC it says Thinking Machines version 5 did the rendering, in the credits? I have a memory they were interviewed about the movie and they mentioned the scene with the banner falling over the T-Rex.

anything.
Bumpety-bump!

Yes, the character was called Colin and this would have been 1987.

I have just submitted the following to the Spot the Commodore page:

If you can find a grab from the UK TV comedy series Father Ted, you'll see an Amiga 600 (possibly the only sighting of the machine on TV!) in the episode "The Old Grey Whistle Theft". It's situated under the TV in the priests lounge purely for the purposes of a scene where character Dougal McGuire is playing "the old video game there (possibly Mortal Kombat). Can't find it on YouTube so I'll dig out my DVD later...

Also, many early 1989 episodes of Australian soap Neighbours actually centred around a storyline involving character Paul Robinson's office computer (an Amiga 500) getting a virus and character "Josh" (friend of Cody?! I forget the names!) was enlisted to remove the virus using a very unconvincing CLI utility disk (I think the old "Graphics Ripper" tool is what's used actually employed). Interestingly, Commodore Australia used to get a credit at the end of each episode for several months. If you can track down episodes c. Feb/Mar 1989 I think that was when the Amiga featured surprisingly prominently.

Has Rolf's Cartoon Club been mentioned yet? A room full of A2000s (I think) using either DPaint or Deluxe Animation

Good old Topaz 8 gives it away here:

Quite a bit of Amiga exposure every week on UK TV for several years...

Meanwhile, in the USA the "Prevue Channel" regularly died throwing up an all too familiar sight:

Amiga 500 with a 1081... and a lot of smoke!

16-Bit - Changing Minds... (from Inaxycvgtgb album - which costs a fortune, £50+ a cd when they crop up) I guess you could call this a reality demo

[ Show youtube player ]

Found this a while back, quite hypnotic to watch and all graphics done by the miggy... Amiga appears on front of single cover... see for 'Changing Minds' cover with the Amiga (longer version of the song too... [ Show youtube player ]

You can buy the album here : http://www.amazon.co.uk/Inaxycvgtgb/...5708808&sr=8-1

As for 16-Bit themselves, they never had a long run... http://www.discogs.com/artist/16+Bit
