c-kermit

I'm wanting to use c-kermit on my amiga 1200. I've downloaded the prebuilt binary cki196.exe from their website under the "Commodore Amiga" section but when I double click it or try run it from the shell it won't work...

Double clicking gives "Unable to open your tool Kermit" and from the shell the error is "kermit: bad loadfile hunk"

Any ideas how to get c-kermit working on an Amiga? I've searched and there is nothing anywhere online about this it seems.

Thanks for any help

I just downloaded cki196.exe and it ran OK. Are you sure the file you have didn't get corrupted somehow? It should be 906236 bytes long, MD5 checksum begins 9AA45F3D6..

Hi thanks you were right, it was a corrupt file I was trying to use.

Kermit is now working great, althought unlike the msdos version it won't let me do: set terminal ansi

set terminal ascii works but then doesn't work with ansi graphics and such. Any ideas how to get ansi working on the amiga kermit binary?

Thanks again for the help

Is there any reason you're not running one of the mainstream Amiga terminal programs?
