I can confirm that it is suprisingly playable on a 1mb A500 WinUAE setting also. Its the first Backbone game I have been able to run in such a configuration so well done.

Downloaded and game over at 2nd boss at the first play.
Very good key response. Fun gameplay. Thank you very much, Lemming880 ! |

Yes! Finally released!
Checked the Youtube video and it look like a big improvement over your first game. Will try it later. |

Just watched the YouTube video and this looks really nice. I really like the simple, colourful graphics.
I look forward to giving it a go! |

I have now played it through. Very balanced gameplay. Not too hard or too easy.
Good choice of music too. I recognize many of them. I have two questions about Backbone. 1. How did you do so you can "wake up" bosses by shooting at them? 2. How did you do so the music change when you reaching the bosses? I have not seen these things in Backbone. edit: no need to answer the first question Last edited by hipoonios; 09 January 2015 at 22:13. |

Thanks guys. Cool pics Superman. It's slow on the A500 but playable I guess. Good to hear about the key response nittamituaki. And I'm glad you think it's balanced Hipoonios.
Make a scene with 'Play Music'. Then in the level editor, place an event 'Play Scene' with that scene. Mind you that the bigger the mod file is the longer the loading time will be so try to keep it as small as possible. |

Thanks for the info!
BTW, you said you had no room left on the disk. You know that you can crunch the exe and get about 150kb free space on the disk? |

This looks great. I am looking forward to giving this, and a lot of the other new games springing up, a go over the weekend. (I'm a really big fan of the graphical style used, as you have probably worked out - nice to see my review quoted )

It plays really well on an A1200 in FS-UAE too. Nice job! Did I see Mr Boxx shooting lasers in the YouTube clip though? My USB joystick's fire button doesn't appear to do anything. Maybe it's a collectable weapon you come across later on?

Thanks again guys. You're welcome Graham. Your review gave a real motivation boost. Hipoonios, I heard about it but didnt cross my mind. Good tip for a next game. Dreamkatcha, indeed the gun is a collectable item. You'll get it for every boss and in whole level 4.
Btw. I updated the game to version 1.1 concerning a boss fix. The first boss of level 5 didn't force the player to walk in rounds. Last edited by Lemming880; 11 January 2015 at 22:09. |
