If you're running OS3.9 you don't need any driver.
How are you planning to install the cd-rom? there's no install script on the SCSI TOOLS disk...you'll have to create your own CD mountfile with the cd file system that comes on the SCSI TOOLS floppy disk. |

Cheers AMIGAZ, should have thought of that one myself it's in the bookmarks after all... me stoopid
I'll hack up a mount file for the CDROM, just wasn't sure about the scsi device I should be using... I've spent the last few weeks trying a whole bunch of stuff tryng to get the A4000 to boot, had it stripped out out of the case, cleaned all the conntacts etc, etc, still no joy. Then I put it all back together to clear some space (it's in a full tower case, and it's big!) powered it up to test the led's, and the fcuker went and booted fine oh well, at least it's working, and I now have both the Norway and Highway network/USB cards working fine, just hope the SCSI module works OK and I'll be one happy guy |

Sounds like you got a real beast there
The Cyberstorm MKII is a very reliable card and and my best friend at the moment in my A4000D which is my gaming machine...have the Cyberscsi module in it hooked up to a Maxtor SCSI hd and a Cyberdrive SCSI cd-rom. Hope you get everything running |

Should be fine now I know to use the cybscsi.device....
Using the quad speed CDROM that the A4000 came with, haven't used it since I broke a couple of pins on the controler chip on the GVP HD-II+ board dropped the drive, and it just caught the board wrong my bad then the next to last pin broke when I was resoldering Also got a spare 2GB drive that's going to replace the 1.7GB IDE one I'm using at the moment, cos it's been giving a few read errors... and I want more speed Hoping to get it working with a SCSI network/Siamese PC running W95, if it works the way I'm hoping, it'll be hooked up through an eight port Belkin Omniview Pro2 KVM switch, along with the other PC's. Now that'll be a BEAST! |
