Pool of Radiance (SSI/Ubi Soft)

Hi there, first time posting here
Well, I've (like the topic maybe already says) a Game that hopefully someone of the WHDLoad dev-team can make an installer, it's the RPG Pool of Radiance, because i don't get it on any way on my A1200 run (it crashes at the same point )

So my question is, is this nice game possible to make an install? if yes can someone do it?

i have installed it on my hdd (A1200) and it works fine.
My install dir is dh1:Pool_Of_Radiance (i just copied both disks to it) and i used this iconx script to start it:

c:assign pooldata: DH1:Pool_Of_Radiance
c:assign poolgame: DH1:Pool_Of_Radiance
c:assign fonts: DH1:Pool_Of_Radiance
run fastmemfirst
run DH1:Pool_Of_Radiance/main

Maybe this helps you to play it from hdd. As savedisk i used a disk in df0:
You need to format a blank disk and give it the name "poolsave"...

can't you assign poolsave: to dh1:Pool_of_Radiance/save/

That question would i also ask, the idea sounds not bad, but it should be possible to assign the savedisk to the HDD.

Should be possible but i can't remember why i didn't tried it. Maybe i used 2 savedisk coz the limited number of savegames (A to J). Don't know...
...or did the items transfer cheat via a removed/added character required two savedisks? hmmm

but could it also work, if you copy the content of the Pool Fonts folder into the Sys:Fonts folder?
If so, then you could also let out the assign for the fonts folder (and also spare some trouble after you finished playing), it is just a theory, but should also work (anyway, sorry for my bad english)

EDIT: so I tried it out and it works thanks for the help

I must sadly correct my last post, it still doesn't work (character generation crashes before end with a software failure/guru (error number 8000 0002))
maybe I'm just doing something wrong, but it's really annoying. I'm better stoping posting here now, because it doesn't fit into this part of the Forum

really bad that it crashed on your system.
I was able to play and finished the game from HD so can it be that your version of the game is broken? Did you tried a cracked version or original?

Maybe a mod can move this thread to the prb.games forum.

That would be very nice, jotd. And maybe installs for some other AD&D roleplaying games like Dark Queen of Krynn?

@Adderly: well, I tried your method again with a Plain Amiga(guess I have forgotten to tell, I have a Accl. Board installed in my Amiga)
still same problem (I tried both a original version and the cracked version by skid row on my real amiga and on WinUAE), well maybe my bad luck

@Bamiga: well I try that tomorrow out, now it's a little late (and I'm too lazy now )

@JOTD: hm, would be nice if you can do it and it does not take too much time of yours (PM me when you need something)

@Retro-Nerd: wouldn't that be a little much? (AFAIK there are at least 9 or 10 RPGs from SSI in the AD&D universe, including Buck Rogers and EoB) but I mean that DQoK works on a Plain Amiga 1200

EoB 1&2, Buck Rogers, Champions & Death Knight of Krynn already have a WHDLoad install.
