WLT re-case my CD32. Experience/advice?
My CD32 although full working has a broken lid hinge and given it is not very nice colour or design I was thinking of changing the casing and squeezing the gubbins into something nicer looking.
Now I am limited by designs that have the toilet lid for the CD ROM so all I could think was a hack together of a regular Playstation 2 case (for the bottom half) and the later slimline ones (for the top half). Has anybody ever recased a CD32 at all? I will never purchase an FMV module or use it with any other kind of expansion so it's just for putting the stock bits inside a new case. I plan to spray it Commodore 1200 white and the slats on the front are very Commodore looking to me so would go well next to a regular 1200 on my desk. Perhaps change all LEDs to blue as well. |
