Metal Slug 2 or 3 is the only one i can remember. Though only for a few seconds and then you turn human again.

In the 1997 DOS FPS Blood the main character starts the game by rising from his grave. He's undead but I'm not sure if that counts as a zombie for your purposes.

Well, Left 4 Dead multiplayer is not 90s, but I once played a coop mod for Half-Life where you fought zombies and upon death, became one yourself.

This is great info guys, thanks 😊 My scope covers "player as a zombie" in general, on all possible platforms and basically all games so far. I mentioned the 80-90s, because I knew you would be experts in those 😊

I'm guessing the definition of zombie here would be "Romero style" ?
I mean if there is no time limit then basically in any of the three Dark Souls games you play a zombie edit: no, now I shame myself. Only in the first one. |
