What about that Winlaunch program that could launch PC stuff? If that could do it then couldn't other stuff?

Hmm, s'pose that's a point.

I'll back out of the discussion as I don't really have an idea what's possible from within UAE.

Considering the fact that the most spread "virus" these days are AttachmentClickMe.vbs someone probably would rename it to winuae.vbs and voila...

Instant amiga chart topping!

OK. Cleared. JOTD was right. It is not possible to format C: from emulated Amiga point of view. It is only possible to detect whether the program is being run from emulated or real Amiga.

from the PC side, emulation is just a windoze program, which has no ability to affect drives at low level. But you could erase Windoze files since the program has the access level of a user or an administrator (that is you running the program) therefore do not share folders that contain valuable data. Copy the data for process into a second folder, assign that folder as a drive to UAE and use the duplicates for process from amiga programs.
