555 timer A600

Hi,
I'm going to recap my Amiga600 rev.1.3
I want to replace my NE555 timer (U14) also (good chance it's broken)

With the capacitors it was quite doable finding out which to use, The timer though is a little harder.

Does it have to be a CMOS IC?
Are there really that much types, or is it just different brands?
Which brands are good quality?

Michel

I think you can use any 555. LM555 is compatible and easy to get.

the 555 need a good 10microF (C612) and a good 100nF (C611) for work

The c611 (100nF)... What should be the voltage of the capacitor?

100nF is probably a ceramic disc that shouldn't need replacing.
You’d be hard pressed to find one rated under 50V.
