The difference i have noticed since coming back

my view rather than a topic starter, but please your comments and views are very welcome

...

go back to 2001 WinUAE was kicking off, EAB members are talking about setting it up, getting to work, where to download software from (serious breach of rules), their background, their memories... all basic stuff

fly to 2010, its been 6 years since i posted everyday (i am logging in alot now)...
there is HOL (awesome), gaming compos, projects aplenty EAB is great.. better than ever before.. much more advice, lots of new passionate people, even some people that created stuff for the Amiga post here now

amigakit.com is providing quality Amiga hardware... it goes on...

it seems the Amiga community has either grown up or people are more dedicated now... a triumph to the original Amiga computer and its team of talented creators.. (search for Amiga History on youtube)

i implore you the members of EAB, to bring new people to the World of Amiga, it lives on through sites such as EAB and emulation will one day be the only to experience it (hardware will fail)...

the only thing it will not have is fans... so parents buy you kids an A600/A1200 tell them to take a break from HD Digital 3D gaming, show them how their Dad / Mum learnt how to game

Interesting to hear that I also hope that sites like EAB, HOL, AMR, Amibay, and so on will help to get people into the Amiga if they only have a slightest interest. Heck, even Lemon Amiga can help

my daughter (also 4 y.o.) likes putty a lot.. she finishes the 1st level. And she LOVES Toki, but prefers watching longplay by RickyC than playing - its too hard for her.. for now.

Frankly speaking I regret showing her the stuff, maybe she is too young, she does not want to watch cartoons anymore

While all the things you mention are (mostly) improvements, the forum is now basically a nerd board, not the casual Amiga enthusiast board it used to be and it's worse off for it in my opinion.

Still is better than most boards on the interweb so I cannot complain too much.

I don't know. EAB - English Amiga-Nerd Board - has a certain ring to it!

Casual Amiga enthusiast... interesting. Think I have to read some old threads to get the idea.

I agree. To me, it evokes a Sleeping Beauty nuptial bedroom, where everything is at its place, and should remain that way.
