Thanks Malko et al, for the detective work with the red gems. We are playing the lastest version of the game, which may be different from the original release? Unfortunately the clown heads are lethal on this version, even when the bubble is not blowing. Thats just a quirk of the game we are playing and a good note for players to avoid.

There are also 4 red gems after a circular saw on this screen:, which are impossible to get without dying.

Thanks for confirmation & tip lifeschool

Edit: Didn't realized at first sight where it was. Indeed, it's impossible to jump over the saw. Anyway, without dying, you should be able to get two of the four gems by closely* following the saw and quickly running back when you got them. This is what I do. Getting the 4 is impossible without dying.
*(not too much, but close enough)

I have to admire the tenacity in trying to 100% this game! I skipped over a whole bunch of gems that were in the "too risky" category.

^ Diabolic but far from John's ~96K
I am over for tonight and finished the training. Let's see what tomorrow's normal go will give for a score...

Even if we all know the name of the winner of this years' "Super League", it is still a competition, so score matters

Except the impossibles ones in the 'candy world', I think I got all the gems.
By chance, the final boss is really easy so I finished with slightly more lives than you John, meaning that I have made less mistakes during the game . But I hate those spikes hidden behind the grass in the forest levels. It was a massacre. On my side, most of the mistakes were due to the hero landing aside to the enemies (and not on their heads).
This game has a name that suits it very well .
I won't play another go. Training level by level with the codes is one thing, but playing the whole game from start to end needs to free too much time. Anyway, an excellent game !!!

96'535 = 95'835 + (7 * 100)

And that's your 7th gold medal. With your nigh flawless results especially in the second half of this season you're now the favorite for the 2020 championship.

Well done!

(I won't have another go at this either but will try to perfect Celtic Heart one day.)

Congrats John4p and Malko, the game seems harder to complete than previous one!

I find this game much better than Celtic Heart. But it is also quite difficult in the later levels. I would judge it the same as Nicky Boom.

And thanks to Harry's last effort team EAB also wins the final game of this season.

12-6 is the end result of the team battle.

With his 7th GOLD malko earned more gold medals than 2012 champion premmisseth who won 6.
SILVER and BRONZE go to yours truly and LinesMachine, the best Lemoner.

It's been quite a unique season that saw its only racing game right at the beginning with Indy 500.
PD fan favorites Deluxe Galaga and Llamatron saw plenty of participation as expected.
It was a pleasure to finally play through the classics Jim Power, Fire Force, B.C. Kid and Treasure Island Dizzy together for the first time ever. But the most outstanding titles of this year of course have been Shadow of the Beast I&II. We've learned both games are hard (or even very hard in the case of part II) but far from impossible to beat. I'd rate them on about the same difficulty level as Castlevania 1&3 on the NES.
Then there was the disastrous double round of Exile AGA and Escape from the Planet of the Robot Monsters. With only 7 and 8 players those have been the least played games ever in the league. And rightfully so. While technically both games are an achievement they just are zero fun to play.
In the end we got to play three modern games from 2018 and 2019. While Worthy had good participation Celtic Heart and Trap Runner could have had more players. I thoroughly enjoyed all three games and look forward to revisit Worthy and Celtic Heart (version 1.1).

And that's that. Thanks to all who took part!
The motto for Season XIII will be "Back to the Roots". We'll try to focus on classic OCS games from 1988-1993 again and I'll return as a player to team Lemon where I started in 2008. Hope that'll lead to a more even team battle 2020.

Thank you John
But even if I managed to beat you on some games, you are still in front of me ... I bet you are the favorite for the next season
