Mean Streets WHDLOAD in AmigaForever

Hello,

I installed the game Mean Streets on AmigaForever. I use the workbench 3.X and the A4000 machine.

It installed properly but the game is really too fast.

For example, I'm unable to enter a navigation code, when I write a number, it is written 4 times.

Does anybody managed to make this game work ? Thanks in advance for your tips.

Excuse for my english, but I'm french.

a lot of games aren't designed to run on fast amigas.

You can issue a bug report at mantis.whdload.de

In the meantime, can you reduce CPU speed in the emulator?

I Tried to reduce it but no changes...

Here's how I configured my machine.

I've also tested the ADF files on a A500 or a A1200 but it crashes just after the title...

I haven't understood how install WHDLOAD on older machines.

Thanks

This set runs perfectly:

... Mean Streets (1990)(U.S. Gold)(Disk 1 of 3)[cr PDX].zip
... Mean Streets (1990)(U.S. Gold)(Disk 2 of 3)[cr FLT].zip
... Mean Streets (1990)(U.S. Gold)(Disk 3 of 3)[cr FLT].zip

Just set the following configuration: A500 / ECS Agnus / Cycle-exact (Full) / KS 1.3 / 512KB Chip & 512KB Slow RAM.

Edit: just saw your screenshot of the configuration you set in Amiga Forever.

Change to an A1200.

No need for:

... FPU
... Fastest speed
... JIT
... RTG

In fact "Fastest possible" and definitely "JIT" are probably your issues...

2MB Chip & 4MB Fast RAM is fine.

What does "Compatibility" = "Custom" mean?

Thanks.

I managed to use this game perfectly with the Amiga 500 Plus.

But there's still a problem, I copied the files of C WHDLOAD in C repertory of Workbench, but when I restart the Amiga, I have to make this operation again. How should I fix it ?

Thanks

What are you copying to; hopefully a .HDF with Workbench 3.1 installed?
