I just added bunch of A1200 and A500 games to my LaunchBox setup. All games start with simple mouse click on launcher - they load WHDLOad version of game and auto-start.

I plan to add ADF and SPS games later this week with the same process, which is very interesting. I might write process if there are more interested people how to set it up.

Had to test installation, so played some Lionheart, Flashback and Banshee.

On the PS2, the following systems can be easily emulated (not an exhaustive list, but near complete) from a USB flash drive or from an internal IDE / PATA HDD :
  • Atari VCS 2600 & 5200
  • NES
  • SNES
  • Mega Drive
  • PC Engine
  • Colecovision
  • ScummVM (as long as you stick with classic games that were supported for a long time)
  • Spectrum ZX
  • C64
  • Neo Geo (not perfectly of course, some games are missing, some bear small glitches)
  • PS1
  • A no frills port of Rick Dangerous (xrick, also on original Xbox)

Also, on the PS2, you may have access to parts of the so-called "Beats Of Rage" project (aka OpenBOR). It will allow you to play homebrew games based on Mega Drive Streets Of Rage gameplay. Some of them are quite good, big sprites, smooth animation (think SOR clones bearing Strider or Simpsons characters...)

On the Gamecube, supported emus usually load from a "SD Gecko" (consists in a hacked memory card bearing a SD card slot), the list is somewhat different :
  • NES
  • SNES
  • SMS
  • Mega Drive
  • Mega CD
  • PC Engine
  • Colecovision (found out recently about that one)
  • Neo Geo CD (emulator plays mp3's for soundtrack playback, which results in a lesser memory footprint)
  • GBA (might be a better idea to get hold of the GameBoy Player add-on device though)

Amazingly enough, Gamecube most popular emulators are still receiving updates on a regular basis.

Amiga is on another Drive
Mega-Drive includes Master System + Game Gear

Added 2 emulators of the Acorn Archimedes:
= Arculator + RPC Emu 371
Used to have Red Squirrel, don't know where it went.

I just picked up a DE10-Nano for MiSTer.

The computer cores I've got set up so far are the Mac Plus, the Amiga (as a 1200), the 486 core running DOS, the Atari ST, and the Commodore 64.

The consoles I've got set up are the Atari 2600, the Colecovision, the Intellivision, the NES, the SMS, the SNES, the Genesis, and the Turbographix 16.

There are some other computers that I'll probably get set up at some point.

I also have a mame cabinet with a vertical monitor and most of the good vert games from the 80s in it.
