You could emulate the Vectrex to play a Berzerk version with lots of blinking .

Next, try to emulate the Jaguar, and then the CD-I (from Philips). Go for it, it's fun!

Check if they all work properly or not, or if you enjoy them enough to play them extensively ? Or both ?

I see. About demos, you could also watch on the big screen DVDs of Amiga demos and megademos recorded from actual Amigas (EAB made one also). I may provide you with a link to a couple of torrents from which you may download those fine ISOs, if you're interested.

Expensive dream.
Can't explain why; When the real thing is available, I'm more motivated to spend time with it and am overall more happier when doing so.

Really cool, especially the music
It's interesting that you're taking this journey now, after all this time.

I thought it was for the games.
Well, that's different. For me, I'll always stay with the Amiga for music.

lol

That's the other reason and area of interest to me as to why I also now emulate Atari ST.

After this journey into the "emulator world", i'm returning slowly to my main system .... the Amiga of course

Perhaps because for this system i have ADA to follow, instead no real motivation for the other systems

So, what i will do with ALL these files collected now ?

I will wait a little, if nothing will start soon i'm probably going to trash away ALL

Yep, i know, i'm a bit crazy

I knew that .... i'm really crazy

I trashed away ALL the files collected for 19 different systems .... 50 GB of files

I don't understand myself when i do something like that

Well, the positive thing is that Amiga is so returned to be the King

Only 50gb? My psx romz is double that size. Think my collection is between 1.3 -2.5TB (I'm too lazy to count everything since it's strewn over 4 hdds

Since I ISOed some of my PS2 games, I am close to 80 GB just for that. And that is just part of the games I own. Will need bigger HD to move also some of xBox games.

If you get Dragon's Lair Blu Ray (released in 2007), you will notice it can be played without any emulator whatsoever. Just insert the BD in your BD player and use the remote to play the game. It's nearly as if you had the arcade version at your disposal!

Does the BluRay version has better picture quality ?
Personally, I bought the DVD release in the early 2000s

Stuff I emulate:

Amiga (obviously)
Atari 8-bit (one of Jay Miner's earlier masterpieces - had one of these before the Amiga)
C64 (had school & other friends who had them back in the day)
Apple ][ (school had them for computer classes)
DOS PC (via DOSBox - had a PC post-Amiga)
ScummVM Games (for the great old Amiga era & later games)
MAME (for some retro arcade favourites)

See for yourself :

You might want to get the GoG trilogy version (DL I, II and Space Ace all in one package). Picture quality is equally great compared to the BD presumably. Ultimately, it all depends if you'd rather play Dragon's Lair from your BD player, or from the PC.
